Homemade Fresh Fruit Ice Cream

9 eggs
3 3/4 cups sugar
2 1/4 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 quarts half and half
2 1/4 cup mashed fresh strawberries or peaches, sweetened to taste

Beat together eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and whipping cream. Place in canister and add fruit and half and half to fill line. Cover and freeze to manufacturer's instructions. Makes 6 quarts.
